Creatara Mobility Starts Production at Its First Faridabad EV Plant

Creatara Mobility has moved from research and development into full-scale manufacturing. The electric two-wheeler maker has opened its first factory in Faridabad, Haryana, with an installed capacity of 30,000 vehicles a year.

A Careful Path to Production

Until now, the company had concentrated on design, testing, and certification. Founder and CEO Vikas Gupta said the firm never chased factories first. Instead, it followed a fixed sequence: build a product, prove it, get it certified, industrialise it, and only then scale up. He said each stage prepared the ground for the next.

Co-founder Ringlarei Pamei said the business has grown on disciplined capital. Rather than spending heavily to buy size, the team built skill step by step across technology, product development, certification, supply chain, and finally manufacturing. She added that firms pairing ambition with financial restraint have a big opportunity ahead.

What the Plant Will Make

The Faridabad unit sits in the Delhi-NCR belt, a hub for auto suppliers. It will roll out the company's two flagship models, the IN40 and the VM4. Both are crossover electric two-wheelers first displayed in January 2025.

The two vehicles share a proprietary platform. Key features include an AI-ready Vehicle Control Unit and portable, swappable battery packs. The company has built expertise across powertrain, batteries, electronics, tooling, connected tech, and testing over the years.

Targeting Young Riders

Creatara is not chasing the budget segment. Its bikes are aimed at college students and young professionals who want style and personalisation. The IN40 and VM4 carry bold, globally inspired design and offer wide customisation choices.

On the shop floor, the company follows the Japanese 5S method — Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain. It treats this as a company-wide mindset for quality and consistency, not just a factory rule.

Domestic and Export Plans

The new facility will supply both Indian buyers and overseas markets, matching the firm's "Made in India, Made for the World" plan. Management describes the setup as repeatable, reliable, and ready to expand as demand grows.

Details on pricing and launch dates for the IN40 and VM4 are awaited.
