# Škoda Epiq and Peaq Explained: Range, Batteries and India Launch Outlook

Škoda's electric range now stretches from the compact Epiq to the seven-seat Peaq. The two SUVs share the brand's Modern Solid design direction, but serve very different buyers: the Epiq focuses on city-friendly size and accessible electric motoring, while the Peaq prioritises space and long-distance comfort.

## Škoda Epiq: the smaller electric SUV

The Epiq is Škoda's most affordable electric model in Europe. Built on the front-wheel-drive MEB+ architecture, it has a compact footprint, a 475-litre boot and a 13-inch central display. Its T-shaped lights and black Tech-Deck Face introduce design elements likely to appear on more Škoda models.

There are two battery sizes. The 38.5 kWh LFP pack serves the Epiq 35 and 40, with an estimated driving range of about 310 km. The Epiq 55 gets a 55 kWh NMC battery and up to 440 km of claimed WLTP range. Škoda quotes a 10-80% DC charging time of about 24 minutes for the Epiq 55. These are European specifications; actual range depends on conditions and an India-spec car could differ.

## Škoda Peaq: the seven-seat flagship

At 4.87 metres long, the Peaq is Škoda's largest SUV. It offers a seven-seat configuration, while the five-seat version has a 935-litre boot and a 37-litre front storage compartment. Its cabin features a portrait 13.6-inch infotainment display, with a panoramic roof and Sonos sound system among the available equipment.

Buyers in the announced markets can choose a 63 kWh or 91 kWh battery. The Peaq 90 with the larger pack offers more than 640 km of claimed range, and Škoda quotes 28 minutes for a 10-80% DC charge. The range and charging figures are manufacturer claims for the European model.

## What does this mean for India?

The Peaq has been discussed as a potential India-bound flagship, but Škoda India has not announced a firm launch date, local specification or price. The Epiq itself has not been confirmed for India. A future compact Škoda EV for this market could draw on the same platform and design approach, but that remains an expectation rather than a confirmed product announcement. Neither model has an official India price.
