# Kia-Jio-bp Charging Integration Gives MyKia Access to 23,500+ Points

Kia India and Jio-bp have partnered to connect their public EV charging platforms, giving Kia owners access to more than 23,500 charging points through K-Charge on the MyKia app, according to reports published on October 16.

The arrangement adds access to existing infrastructure through an integrated interface. It should not be read as an announcement of 23,500 newly installed chargers.

## What the Kia-Jio-bp partnership includes

Jio-bp brings more than 7,000 charging points across over 1,100 sites in more than 300 cities. In the other direction, Kia's 125 operational dealership DC fast chargers, along with future installations, will progressively become available through Jio-bp pulse charge pro.

The platforms support charger discovery, navigation, starting and monitoring a charging session, and payment.

## Charging power and reliability

Jio-bp's DC equipment spans 60kW to 480kW, and the company reports network uptime of 96%. Neither figure guarantees the speed or availability of an individual stop. A vehicle's charging limit, battery temperature, state of charge and the particular charger determine actual performance.

## Why integrated charging matters

BestEV's assessment is that reducing the number of apps needed for a journey can improve EV ownership. The practical value comes from accurate availability, transparent pricing and successful sessions.

An integrated map is most useful when it shows the connector, usable power and access restrictions clearly. A dealership charger, for example, may require checking opening hours before it becomes a dependable journey stop.

## What owners should check

Before travelling, confirm that the selected charger appears in the app, check its live status and price, and identify a backup nearby. Owners should also distinguish the number of charging points from the number of sites: multiple points may share one location.

The partnership addresses convenience and interoperability. Its everyday success will depend on how reliably customers can discover, activate and pay for a working charger.
