## Leading manufacturers in September

| Manufacturer | Registrations |
| --- | ---: |
| TVS Motor | 53,989 |
| Bajaj Auto | 48,383 |
| Ather Energy | 30,477 |
| Hero MotoCorp | 24,305 |
| Ola Electric | 13,449 |

## Can FY27 exceed 20 lakh?

The segment needs another 8,91,394 registrations by March 2027 to reach 20 lakh. That is a scenario, rather than a confirmed forecast.

## Reading the numbers

Registrations measure vehicles entered into registration records; they should not be treated as manufacturer dispatches. Different extraction dates and coverage can produce different totals. Compare like-for-like datasets before calculating market shares.

## What buyers should check

BestEV's buying advice: use market rankings as a starting point for a shortlist. Ask each dealer for a written on-road quote, battery warranty conditions and service arrangements in your area.

Test ride your shortlisted scooters on roads similar to your commute. Check pillion comfort, storage and charging access at home. Calculate your daily distance with a reserve for unexpected trips, then assess whether the vehicle fits that routine.
